Straley LA Veterinary Services, Inc. is a mobile veterinary practice with our shop located in the village of Hublersburg, Centre County Pennsylvania. Our doctors serve the surrounding area with their mobile veterinary trucks. Straley LA Veterinary Services specializes in dairy and equine medicine; however we include beef cattle, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, deer, pigs and dogs in our regular veterinary work.

The name Straley has been associated with veterinary medicine in this area since 1957. Dr. Chris Homer, Dr. Kathleen Rhoads and Sue Homer purchased the mobile practice in 2012. We moved to our “new” Shop in Hublersburg in July of 2013. Dr. Don Anderson joined us in January, 2017 and Dr. Ed Fuhrman joined us in February, 2017 to expand on our veterinary services. Dr. Brad Back (completes our veterinary team) brought equine expertise in September, 2017. Amanda Miller can be found on the phones, helping clients with her years of experience in veterinary clinics. Sarah Brown joined us in September of 2016 and brings a great deal of equine expertise and can be found both in the shop and on the road, helping with xrays and client drop offs. With Sarah Fisher working in the shop, our team of eightt is dedicated to the promotion of animal health and client education.

Our four veterinarians are committed to providing quality veterinary medical and surgical care for the farm animals in central Pennsylvania. Our veterinarians have a blend of experience, education and an interest in all aspects of dairy production medicine and are each committed to serving the dairy farmers of Centre and Clinton counties. (We also serve some areas of Mifflin County) Additionally, Dr. Brad has expanded our equine medicine and we now offer a broad range of services in equine and many other species including but not limited to: goats, sheep, pigs, Llamas, and deer. We work with several dog breeders and include guinea pigs amongst our patients.

Our shop is a landmark in Hublersburg. The house portion was built in 1876 and the store was built in 1890 and was a general store for this area until the 1980's. We are proud of the history found within our walls and encourage people to visit. Our shop is dedicated to supporting the agricultural community around us. We carry an assortment of products to promote health care in animals and if we don’t have it, we will quickly get it for you. Come in and see us.

Our entire clinic is dedicated to the best care and service for our clients and their animals. Our goal is to provide progressive veterinary service and professional client education to our clients. We want to offer friendly and enthusiastic service for each client and patient.
